Personalized Horse Training in Wimauma, Florida

About the Trainer
Sydney Frost is a Florida-born and raised horse trainer based in Wimauma, Florida, centrally located near Tampa and Brandon with convenient access to I-75. Raised in the hunter/jumper world, Sydney developed a deep love and respect for horses at an early age, an appreciation that has shaped every step of her career. She was driven to ride as much as possible outside of lessons and worked as a feeder and barn hand throughout high school to help support her first personal horse. At just twelve years old, she was given a OTTB, "Contraband"—known as Val—whom she brought along herself up through the AA-level Children’s Hunter and Equitation shows, competitively holding her own against far more expensive, purpose-bred Warmbloods. That experience of building a successful partnership with her heart horse laid the foundation for Sydney’s training philosophy.
Val remains a full-time resident at Everfrost Equine LLC and continues to play an active role in the program, helping to educate young horses alongside Sydney. Over the years, he has foxhunted, logged hundreds of trail miles, ponied young horses, taught lesson kids, and proven himself a true jack-of-all-trades—reflecting the kind of versatility and longevity Sydney strives to instill in every horse she trains.
Sydney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences with an equine specialization from the University of Florida, where she gained extensive knowledge in farm management, pasture management, and equine nutrition. She is a firm believer that what happens during the twenty-two hours a day a horse is not actively in training has a profound impact on the success of any program. For that reason, Everfrost Equine’s management practices are carefully designed with the horse’s physical and mental well-being as the top priority—always putting the horse first.
While in college, Sydney completed a horse psychology and training program that ignited her passion for starting young horses. She became deeply invested in developing and shaping young equine minds, creating solid foundations that prepare horses for success no matter the discipline they ultimately pursue. She strongly believes that every horse is a unique individual and has spent years refining a highly personalized training program tailored to each horse’s specific needs. At Everfrost Equine, the horse always comes first.
After founding Everfrost Equine LLC and starting numerous colts, Sydney became drawn to the Extreme Mustang Makeover and similar programs, eager to take on the challenge of starting a horse that was truly a blank slate. She considers herself a lifelong student of the horse and credits many of her most valuable lessons to working with wild mustangs in their natural state. Sydney continues to compete in mustang training competitions and is a passionate advocate for the American Mustang, recognizing the vital role training and education play in transitioning the nearly 50,000 mustangs currently in holding facilities into meaningful roles and permanent loving homes. Witnessing the transformation from fearful, untouched horses to a trusted partner and beloved companion is the most fulfilling part of her work.
Sydney also enjoys maintaining a small, carefully selected consignment program, finding it deeply rewarding to match the right horse with the right rider. This thoughtful approach has led to a consistently high success rate for both buyers and sellers.
In addition, she has extensive experience teaching riders of all levels and takes great pride in helping students achieve their goals. While many instructors focus primarily on riding, Sydney’s background in horse psychology and colt starting places a strong emphasis on complete horsemanship—both in and out of the saddle—which she is passionate about instilling in every student. She is especially committed to inspiring young riders to pursue excellence and set meaningful goals.
Above all, Sydney is a strong, Bible-believing Christian. The cross at the center of the Everfrost Equine logo is a reflection of her commitment to keeping Christ at the center of all she does, both personally and professionally.
